Cloud Technical Solutions Engineer, Data Analytics

The Google Cloud Platform team develops cloud technology products focused on security, reliability, and scalability, serving customers including developers, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies worldwide. The team supports digital transformation by delivering enterprise-grade solutions and tools to help developers build sustainably.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data analytics, warehousing, ETL development, data science, or other big data applications.
• 2 years of experience reading/debugging code in general purpose languages (e.g., Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, JavaScript).
• 2 years of experience with two or more of the following: web technologies, data/big data, systems administration, machine learning, networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
• Preferred: 2 years experience with Linux/Unix or other operating systems (kernel to shell, file systems, client-server protocols).
• Preferred: Experience in customer advocacy.
• Preferred: Knowledge in web application development/deployment, HTTP/RESTful API troubleshooting, or database design/troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.
• Preferred: Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Resolve customer issues through diagnosis, resolution, and implementing investigation tools for Google Cloud Platform products.
• Troubleshoot and determine root causes for customer-reported issues by understanding Google's product technology and architectures.
• Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
• Advocate for customer needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve products and drive quality production.
• Work as part of a global team providing 24-hour customer support.
