Software Engineer III, Full Stack, Colab Enterprise

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The role involves working on projects critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects. The position focuses on delivering a quality notebook experience and building foundational infrastructure for Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) agents, enhancing Vertex AI Notebooks including Workbench and Colab Enterprise. The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges across various industries and collaborates with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud computing, distributed systems, microservices, and security.
• Preferred: Experience with open source build systems, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Preferred: Experience with traditional Google Production or Google Cloud.

• Design and implement developer tools and platforms for customers of Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop the technical goal and roadmap for the team.
• Work with customers to improve user experience.
• Communicate across teams and drive alignment with product and client teams.
• Balance product thinking, development, and delivery.
