Business Unit Manager

As part of the Reply group, Data Reply offers a wide range of services that support customers in becoming data driven. We operate in various industries and business areas and work intensively with our customers so that they can achieve meaningful results through the effective use of data. Data Reply offers many years of experience in transformation projects to achieve “data-driven companies”. We focus on the development of data platforms, machine learning solutions and streaming applications - automated, efficient, and scalable - without making any compromises in IT security.

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable technical course of study and relevant professional experience in position with personnel responsibility.
• Very familiar with coordinating, leading, and scheduling a team and a good "people manager" who understands how to motivate team members.
• Experience in the data domain, such as data engineering, data analysis, or similar roles.
• Multiple years of experience in project team management and delivery management methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
• Open to work in a hybrid mode, with 2-3 days at the office in Katowice.
• Very good communication skills in English and Polish (German is an advantage), with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as the willingness to travel occasionally.

• Lead and be accountable for the business unit of Data Reply in Poland, working closely with our management team in Germany and the local service departments of Reply Polska.
• Build and grow a talented team by driving the recruitment and onboarding of Engineers and Consultants for projects within the Data & AI space.
• Active participation in the recruitment/sourcing processes (interviewing, deciding on hiring, and economics).
• Leverage your own expertise to actively contribute to client projects for part of the working time (40-70%), ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables while guiding the team through complex technical challenges.
• Take ownership of project timelines and outcomes, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
• Act as a local manager for your team in Katowice, ensuring clear assignments, well-defined roles and responsibilities, and continuous development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying challenges, obstacles, and opportunities, and collaborating with the team to develop high-impact solutions.
• Oversee regular reporting and controlling tasks, ensuring transparent communication of project progress, team performance, and financial metrics to stakeholders.
• Promote a positive and supportive team culture that celebrates success, recognizes achievements, and encourages knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
