Software Engineer III, Full Stack, AI Development Tools

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The role involves working on projects critical to Google's needs, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. The position focuses on developing GenAI and Vertex-based development tools to enhance developer productivity, working closely with Google Cloud AI and Google Research teams to develop and test machine learning solutions integrating large language models.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and enterprise software architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with Generative AI and performance optimization.
• Experience with Go.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (style guidelines, accuracy, testability, efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
