Data and Financial Engineering Analyst

Verita HR is an international company providing recruitment support within Fintech, Finance, and Banking markets in EMEA. The role is within the Product Control Data and Financial Engineering Team at a leading international bank, focusing on modernizing controls and analytics by building automated solutions in Python/SQL and migrating legacy SQL Server logic to a scalable Python-based stack.

• Strong hands-on development experience in Python and SQL writing production-quality, maintainable code
• Knowledge of Jira, Git, and test-driven development
• Experience with financial data
• Familiarity with SDLC best practices including version control, code reviews, testing, documentation, and release management
• Experience building ETL/ELT processes and working with relational databases, ideally SQL Server, and data modeling concepts
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

• Design, build and maintain automated solutions to improve controls and analytical processes using Python and SQL
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines: ingest, transform, validate, and publish datasets for downstream Product Control use cases
• Develop strong understanding of data sourcing and lineage, including data quality checks and reconciliations
• Partner with Product Control stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements and comply with policies and control standards
• Cooperate with Technology to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and supportability (environments, scheduling, access, release processes)
• Promote programming and data literacy within Product Control through documentation, reusable patterns, and peer support
• Support the correct delivery of standardized data to line teams in cooperation with the wider Product Control Data & Engineering team
