Senior Software Engineer, Secure Web Proxy, Kubernetes, Google Cloud

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. The role involves working on projects critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions leveraging cutting-edge technology to help organizations digitally transform their business globally.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with Kubernetes, Go, or micro-services.
• 3 years of experience in C++, Java, or Go, focusing on high-performance, low-latency code or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
• Design and implement complex, multi-quarter product changes in the Cloud Networking and GKE Egress space without supervision.
• Mentor and grow team members, set technical direction and delegate engineering work to achieve broader team level goals.
• Drive engineering outcomes for the SWP product area.
