Finance Python Engineer

• Senior experience in building and testing applications in Python.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and test-driven development.
• Strong knowledge of testing principles and best practices, familiarity with pytest.
• Knowledge of coding best practices.
• Experience writing pythonic code with a good eye for code smells.
• Experience in code review best practices.
• Practical knowledge of SOLID principles and some design patterns.
• Good familiarity with git version control.
• Some experience developing in an Agile environment with preferably continuous integration practices.

• Collaborate with the Model Enablement team to support credit risk modellers in using modelling toolkits.
• Ensure correct and efficient toolkit usage by validating user application, troubleshooting issues, and guiding best practices.
• Collect user feedback to inform future development.
• Contribute to Python library development for credit risk modelling.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration test suites, improving testing frameworks.
• Work with end users to understand modelling needs, analyze use cases, and provide technical and analytical support.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions influencing risk analysis and measurement.
• Co-create modelling platforms and toolkits to improve model development consistency and streamline deployment.
• Participate in Agile development including sprints, code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and collaborative development.
• Maintain high code quality by applying clean-code principles, design patterns, and performing peer reviews.
