Technology & Systems Summer Internship (C++ / Python / LLM / Agentic AI) - Łódź

Ericsson is offering a Summer Internship Program in the Technology & Systems Department in Łódź, focusing on software engineering, AI, automation, and telecommunications technologies. The internship provides exposure to system-level thinking, architecture design, prototyping, and complex problem-solving in a real engineering environment.

• Student in the final years of studies (4th–5th year or equivalent) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields
• Programming skills in C++ and Python
• Interest in AI/ML technologies, especially LLMs and prompt engineering, Agentic AI concepts, AI-assisted development workflows
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity about how complex systems work
• Effective communication in English
• Curiosity, ownership, analytical thinking and willingness to learn are more important than expertise in AI, telecom or system architecture

Nice to have:

• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
• Experience with LLM-based tools, RAG pipelines, or embeddings
• Experience with agent-building tools such as Amazon Kiro, Amazon Q Developer
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices (e.g., Git, Linux, Docker)
• Basic understanding of 4G/5G technologies (Radio Access Network, telecom systems)

• Contribute to the design and analysis of system-level solutions rather than only implementing code
• Support development of tools and concepts using C++, Python and other programming languages
• Work with modern AI/ML technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and embeddings, AI-assisted engineering workflows (requirements review, document analysis, configuration generation, log analysis and test preparation)
• Explore and prototype intelligent automation solutions using AI-driven approaches
• Collaborate with system architects on use cases, requirements, and technical feasibility analysis and proof-of-concept work
• Participate in internal innovation initiatives and experimental projects
• Prepare demos, documentation or technical summaries of your work
• Build AI-supported engineering tools
• Understand how complex technical systems are designed
• Work with requirements, architecture concepts and technical feasibility analysis
• Prototype solutions using Python, C++, LLMs and automation tools
• Connect software engineering with real system-level problems
• Prepare demos, proofs of concept and technical documentation
