Software Engineering Manager II, Health Data Foundation

The Health Data Foundation team at Google focuses on organizing and transforming vast health and fitness data using AI innovation at Fitbit, impacting a global user base. The Devices & Services team combines Google AI, software, and hardware to create advanced user experiences and develop new technologies to improve computing interaction.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years in a technical leadership capacity, overseeing complex projects, including 3 years in a people management or team leadership role.

• Lead and grow a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous innovation.
• Architect and implement impactful technical solutions for complex, ill-defined problems with significant organizational reach.
• Drive seamless cross-functional collaboration and project execution across various teams.
• Manage priorities, timelines, and deliverables to achieve ambitious goals.
• Elevate team capabilities by mentoring on design techniques and coding best practices.
