Staff Software Engineer, Vertex AI, Workbench

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with backend infrastructure and distributed systems development.
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Golang, Python, or Typescript.
• 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Master’s, PhD degree, further education or experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related field (preferred).
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Experience developing accessible technologies (preferred).
• Experience in a technical leadership role (preferred).
• Familiarity with Google's production environment or Google Cloud is required.

• Communicate effectively across teams, drive alignment with product team and client teams.
• Lead the technical execution for major product initiatives, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Develop the technical direction and road map for the broader team.
• Design and implement best developer tools and platform for customers of Vertex AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Balance product thinking, development, and continuous delivery.
