API Developer (Java)

Verita HR is an international company providing recruitment support within Fintech, Finance and Banking market in EMEA. They conduct systematic market research to support their Digital Teams.

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Good understanding of backend architecture principles, microservices and API design
• Experience working with REST APIs and integration patterns
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka
• Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies
• Knowledge of build and dependency management tools such as Maven
• Understanding of software quality practices, automated testing and troubleshooting
• Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
• 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, Maven
• English language proficiency

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs used across enterprise platforms
• Build secure and high-performing services using Java and modern backend frameworks
• Create and improve REST-based integrations, ensuring reliability, scalability and maintainability
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
• Develop event-driven solutions and support asynchronous communication between systems
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners and infrastructure teams in Agile delivery streams
• Ensure proper API documentation, versioning and monitoring standards are maintained
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimise performance and contribute to service stability initiatives
• Support cloud-native deployments and containerised environments
