Senior Software Engineer, App Hub

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and App Hub aim to deliver an AI-driven, application-focused perspective of GCP infrastructure. The team manages the complete App Hub interface, including application-centric observability, manageability, and governance, covering performance monitoring, policy management, and emerging functional areas. The role involves contributing to GCP's strategy for an application-centric, AI-powered cloud and developing essential components of the Application Platform architecture. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's technology to help developers build sustainably and supports customers in over 200 countries and territories.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in C++ or Go.
• Experience architecting and designing distributed software systems.
• Experience in relational database design for the cloud.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 1 year of experience working with cross-functional partners in matrix organizational structures.
• Experience in API design and management of public-facing APIs.
• Experience in full stack engineering to build front and back end features, server-side optimizations, and infrastructures.

• Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and high-availability systems for customers.
• Direct project life cycles while maintaining standards for architectural integrity and engineering practices.
• Transform business requirements into technical solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Drive engineering and development speed by guiding technical initiatives.
• Promote a team environment by mentoring engineers and contributing to organizational success.
