Streaming Platform Engineer (Kafka & Flink)

Must-Have Skills:

• Flink SQL (filter expressions, projections, window joins)
• Stateful stream processing concepts
• Flink Kubernetes Operator (deployment, job management)
• Familiarity with Table API is a plus
• Kafka producer/consumer model
• Kafka Connect (source/sink connectors, SMT plugins)
• Confluent Schema Registry (Avro)
• Topic and consumer group management
• Avro schema authoring and evolution best practices
• Schema Registry API usage
• Deploying and operating workloads via Kubernetes Operators
• Basic troubleshooting (logs, pod states, resource configs)
• Delivering solutions with AI assistance across all delivery phases

Nice to have:

• Reading and authoring AsyncAPI v3 specifications
• Understanding message structures (traits, examples)
• Kafka Connect custom SMT plugin development (Java)
• XML-to-Avro transformation logic
• Pull Request-based deployment workflows
• YAML-driven configuration management

• Design and implement filtering and transformation logic using Apache Flink (Flink SQL)
• Work with enterprise-level Kafka / Confluent streaming platform
• Co-develop frameworks and validation tooling
• Deploy and manage workloads via Flink Kubernetes Operator
• Deliver solutions leveraging AI-assisted engineering across the full lifecycle
