Senior Backend Developer

AVENGA (Agencja Pracy, nr KRAZ: 8448) is hiring a Senior Backend Java Developer to work on enterprise-level backend applications and services in the banking domain, focusing on scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

• Higher education level within IT or similar is preferred
• Hands on experience in Java development (preferred at least 6 years of experience as a developer)
• Familiar with reactive programming
• Working knowledge of Spring and Hibernate, Cucumber framework
• Experience with SQL, REST, Microservices, GIT
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and design patterns
• Fluency in English both written and spoken

• Develop scalable and resilient REST APIs supporting corporate banking functionalities such as payments, account management, and user administration
• Participate in the modernization of legacy systems and migration to modern cloud-ready architectures
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, and design patterns to ensure maintainable and high-quality code
• Build and optimize reactive applications using reactive programming principles and frameworks
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX/UI designers, and frontend developers to deliver business requirements
• Integrate backend services with Angular-based frontend applications
• Design and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and data access layers
• Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests using Cucumber and other testing frameworks
• Perform code reviews, mentor team members, and promote engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues, analyze system performance, and implement improvements
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Manage source code, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines using Git and DevOps tools
• Ensure security, reliability, and compliance standards are met within banking applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve customer experience and platform capabilities
