Data and Financial Engineering Analyst

The role is within the Product Control Data and Financial Engineering team in Krakow.

• Strong hands-on development experience in Python and SQL, writing production-quality, maintainable code.
• Practical experience building ETL and ELT processes with relational databases, ideally SQL Server.
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts and relational database design.
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, and test-driven development practices.
• Understanding of SDLC best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Experience working with financial data.
• University degree in engineering, finance, economics, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Product Control.

• Design, build, and maintain automated solutions using Python and SQL to improve controls and analytical processes.
• Develop and manage ETL and ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, validate, and publish datasets for downstream use.
• Establish strong understanding of data sourcing, lineage, and quality by implementing checks and reconciliations.
• Partner with Product Control stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements and comply with relevant policies.
• Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure smooth integration, deployment, scheduling, and release management.
• Promote programming and data literacy within Product Control through documentation, reusable patterns, and peer support.
• Support the delivery of standardised data to line teams across the wider Product Control function.
