Technical Architect (Microsoft Fabric)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest players in the tech industry in Europe, known for consulting, digital services, and software development. The Polish branch operates as the Global Delivery Center in Katowice since 2007 with around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department specializes in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department handles software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven experience in large-scale enterprise data engineering projects.
• Strong expertise in Azure data ecosystem, Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures, Power BI, Synapse / Fabric services, data governance, and enterprise data platforms.
• Ability to operate at both architecture and technical implementation levels.
• Experience advising stakeholders and validating architecture decisions in complex environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• EU citizenship.
• Fluent English (B2/C1).

Nice to have:

• Security clearance.
• Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
• Knowledge of modern data platform governance models.
• Experience with large user adoption and multi-team delivery environments.

• Advise and support the design of the Microsoft Fabric platform architecture.
• Challenge and validate technical decisions and implementation approaches.
• Guide the internal architect and stakeholders on best practices related to scalability, governance, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Help define the platform capabilities and services required by business users.
• Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the definition of enterprise data engineering standards and operating models.
• Ensure alignment between technical implementation and business expectations.

Only candidates located in Poland with EU citizenship are eligible. Occasional business trips abroad and visits to the Katowice office are required.
