(Senior) Data Scientist - Operations (m/f/n)

InPost is a leading e-commerce parcel delivery platform in Europe, operating a network of almost 47,000 Automated Parcel Machines (APMs) and nearly 35,000 pick-up drop-off points (PUDO) across nine countries. The company provides delivery, courier, and fulfilment services to e-commerce merchants. The role is within the Operations Data Science Team, focusing on solving complex logistics problems at scale.

• Approximately 3+ years in Data Science or Machine Learning roles
• Strong Python skills and experience with data/ML libraries
• Experience working with large-scale datasets
• Solid understanding of ML methods including regression, clustering, and forecasting
• Ability to translate business problems into data solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with optimization problems such as routing, scheduling, and operations research
• Knowledge of graph-based approaches or network problems
• Experience building models used in production at scale
• Experience with PySpark and cloud platforms (Databricks, GCP, AWS, Snowflake)
• Familiarity with ML Ops and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of optimization techniques like linear programming and heuristics
• Familiarity with Kedro or similar frameworks

• Designing routing and allocation algorithms for parcel delivery
• Solving large-scale optimization problems involving vehicles, routes, constraints, and costs
• Applying graph-based methods, clustering, regression, and forecasting
• Building models that directly impact delivery speed, cost efficiency, and customer experience
• Shipping solutions into production
