Software Engineering Manager II, YouTube Creator Partnerships

YouTube Creator Partnerships team focuses on growing YouTube Creator Partnerships into a multi-billion dollar business by enhancing the viewer experience within the YouTube Main App, designing and building how different creator partnerships are shown to over 2 billion YouTube viewers daily. The role is part of Google Ads, which builds advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.
• Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: 3 years experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Preferred: Familiarity with business intelligence platforms, SQL, or database querying technologies.

• Develop and communicate the technical roadmap for scaling the Design System and integrating AI innovations.
• Lead a team of Software Engineers responsible for core infrastructure, including coaching and career development.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with YouTube Ads business vertical and cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Architect and vet systems within core infrastructure to ensure a solid technical foundation.
• Review code and system designs for quality and efficiency, and solve highly ambiguous problems through product or system development.
