Senior Software Engineer, Android, Chrome Identity

Google develops next-generation technologies impacting billions of users, focusing on areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. The role is within the Chrome Identity team in Warsaw, working primarily on Android mobile platforms with exposure to desktop, building features used by billions in Chrome UIs. Chrome is an open source browser available across major platforms, dedicated to a better, more open web.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience developing for mobile operating systems (Android).
• Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with mobile or desktop development.
• Experience leading a small software engineering team for more than a year.
• Ability to iterate approaches for complex features to a large number of users.

• Set technical directions for a small team of engineers.
• Take full ownership of the design, implementation, and launch phases of your projects.
• Work with UX/Product Manager peers to refine the product requirements.
• Make direct coding contributions critical to project success and coordinate with adjacent teams.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite software development practices.
