Quality Engineering & DOA Monitoring Lead (m/f)- Airbus Commercial Engineering Center

Airbus is launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Centre in Poland focused on Propulsion systems. The center aims to leverage Poland's talent pool and technological ecosystem to support Airbus's broader Engineering workload and competitiveness, reinforcing Airbus’ strategic engagement with Poland. The position is based at Airbus Helicopters Polska Sp. z o.o.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical discipline.
• Deep understanding of EASA Part 21 Subpart J (DOA) regulations and Airbus CS-25 certification frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of EU Dual-Use export control regulations; familiarity with US ITAR/EAR is a plus.
• Certified Lead Auditor for aerospace standards (EN/AS9100) is highly desirable.
• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Process Assurance, or Airworthiness in aerospace.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to challenge technical leaders and enforce compliance with authority and diplomacy.
• Leadership, communication, listening skills, autonomy, team spirit, and collaborative mindset.

Process Deployment & Standardization:

• Translate global corporate engineering procedures into localized work instructions for the Kraków center.
• Enforce the Design Assurance System (DAS) ensuring correct application by engineers.
• Liaise with the Global Quality & Methods team for integration of tools and data management.

DOA Compliance & Independent Monitoring:

• Conduct independent monitoring and internal audits of design activities for adherence to Airbus CS-25 DOA procedures.
• Sample and verify engineering deliverables to meet certification standards before approval.
• Support qualification, tracking, and evaluation of Compliance Verification Engineers and authorized signatories.

Quality Engineering & Defect Prevention:

• Lead root cause analysis investigations using methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa.
• Define, track, and report KPIs such as First-Time-Right rates and audit non-conformity closures.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose lean process improvements.

Export Control & Technology Transfer:

• Ensure engineering artifacts are classified per EU Dual-Use and ITAR/EAR regulations before data transfer.
• Audit user access rights in PLM/PDM systems to prevent unauthorized access.
• Establish and enforce the Technology Control Plan regulating technical data flow.

Training & Culture:

• Foster a quality and compliance-first mindset emphasizing safety and legal implications.
• Develop and deliver mandatory onboarding and refresher training on regulations and quality manuals.
