Senior Test Engineer

Our Client has been in the business of providing safety and insurance for the maritime industry for over 160 years and is now the leading provider of security certification and audits. They offer a wide range of digital projects to increase safety and compliance with standards in industrial fields. Their solutions are used in the maritime industry, from raw materials extraction to other areas requiring quality and compliance with norms and standards. The Client has been working with Jit Team since 2013, creating and maintaining applications utilized in high-risk areas like rigs, mines, and police units, striving to make the world a safer place. The Client's commitment to safety, ecology, and quality, rooted in Scandinavian culture, is implemented on a global scale.

• Proven background in manual testing of web-based applications, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
• Practical experience in exploratory and regression testing, as well as effective defect tracking and lifecycle management
• Capability to analyze and validate complex, end-to-end workflows across multiple interconnected systems
• Solid experience working in Agile environments, with a good understanding of team collaboration and delivery practices
• Confidence to act as an independent tester within a team, taking ownership of quality and testing activities
• Open, communicative, and constructive approach to teamwork and daily collaboration
• Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in improving product quality and processes
• Comfort thriving in a small, self-organizing team setup
• Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

Nice to have:

• Exposure to SaaS environments or multi-tenant architectures
• Basic knowledge of APIs and system integrations
• Interest in or experience with AI-driven product functionalities
• Familiarity with test automation concepts or tools
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar platforms

• Act as the primary owner of quality within the team, driving quality-first mindset across all activities
• Collaborate closely on backlog refinement and requirements clarification, ensuring high-quality, testable user stories
• Actively participate in customer discussions to understand real user needs and validate solutions
• Perform manual and exploratory testing of AI-enabled product features
• Validate end-to-end workflows across integrated SaaS components
• Co-create acceptance criteria and support Product Delivery Manager in backlog prioritization and maintenance
• Identify, document, and track defects in a structured and transparent manner
• Validate bug fixes and execute regression testing to ensure stability
• Contribute to the evolution of AI testing practices and support development of lightweight test automation
