Technical Lead in Embedded Software - 5G User Plane Control/Scheduler

Ericsson is a market leader in connectivity, working with advanced broadband wireless technology including 5G. The role is within the RAN Performance organization responsible for the baseband software in the 5G product, one of the most complex embedded products globally. The position is part of a newly created product responsible organization in Krakow, Poland, focused on 5G Layer 2/Scheduler.

• Hands-on experience and knowledge in C/C++ programming
• At least 5 years' experience in development of real-time embedded systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• General programming skills such as Python are an advantage
• Knowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) is an advantage
• Clean code programming style and mindset
• Experience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals is appreciated
• MSc/BSc level in a technical subject area or equivalent knowledge
• Keen interest in the long-term evolution and success of the Baseband software product
• Ability to work well in a team and be part of a global organization
• Good English language skills in both writing and conversation

• Support teams in development of new features for the 5G RAN
• Work with UPC software architecture changes to prepare for the feature roadmap
• Review design solutions prior to implementation
• Participate and approve strategic and complex code reviews
• Define and maintain product development strategy and architecture integrity
• Work on improving general quality of Scheduler
• Drive domain module, submodule, and function level test strategy
• Maintain, define, and prioritize UPC domain care backlog
• Participate and support system study
• Support longer term prototyping and architecture initiatives

Work in a hybrid model with 3 days per week from the office in Kraków.
