Senior Python Consultant

GFT Poland is hiring for a Senior Python Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions in enterprise environments. The position involves working closely with product owners, architects, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions and contribute across the software development lifecycle.

• 4-5 years of commercial experience with Python development
• Hands-on experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Django frameworks
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience working with Docker and containerized applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Basic understanding of AI/LLM concepts, including prompting, RAG, and AI-powered applications
• Experience processing and analyzing data with libraries such as pandas or NumPy
• DevOps mindset and scripting/automation skills
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications and services using Python
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver them iteratively
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing and production support
• Ensure application stability and performance by monitoring and resolving production issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and other engineers
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Identify and address technical debt while balancing new feature development
• Contribute to architectural decisions following best engineering practices and guidelines
• Support CI/CD processes and participate in deployment activities
• Share knowledge within the team and contribute to continuous improvement
