Embedded Software Engineer

Ericsson is a market leader in connectivity, working with advanced mobile broadband services and the latest generation of broadband wireless technology. The RAN Performance organization designs, implements, and tests 5G software features, focusing on baseband software within the 5G product. The Krakow unit is creating a product responsible organization with a focus on 5G L2/Scheduler.

• At least 3-4 years' experience in real-time embedded systems development
• Experience in embedded software development with Baseband L1/L2 in C/C++
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) is an advantage
• General programming skills, e.g., Python, are an advantage
• Clean code programming style and mindset
• Experience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals is appreciated
• MSc/BSc level in a technical subject or equivalent knowledge
• Good English language skills in writing and conversation
• Keen interest in the long-term evolution and success of the Baseband software product
• Enjoy teamwork and working in a global organization

• Develop new features for the 5G RAN, participating in all design phases from early studies to live network feedback
• Work with UPC software architecture changes to prepare for the scheduler feature roadmap
• Improve the quality of the scheduling software
• Collaborate with architects to discuss architecture details and concerns
• Implement UPC domain care backlog items
• Drive technology leadership in the baseband scheduler department
