Senior Solution Architect

apreel Sp. z o.o. is hiring for a Senior Solution Architect role based in Warsaw, Poland, focusing on corporate solutions architecture involving private cloud and Azure environments. The position involves long-term collaboration and hybrid work with one day per week in the office.

• Ability to design and integrate complex, high-performance, and secure corporate systems.
• Broad technological knowledge.
• Experience with software architecture practices, tools, and management.
• Knowledge of design patterns related to microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Practical knowledge of cloud and cloud-agnostic technologies, especially Azure and Kubernetes.
• Programming experience in C# or Java, recognized as an authority among developers.
• Communication skills for negotiation, presentation, and argumentation at various decision-making levels.
• Ability to use system design and modeling tools.
• Experience creating high-level design documentation and architectural requirements for RFPs.
• Experience designing and implementing corporate solutions accessible via the internet.
• At least one year of full-time experience as a solution architect integrating complex application ecosystems.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Pragmatism, focus on delivering agreed results, and active engagement in solution definition.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture management methods.
• Familiarity with Elastic Search, Kafka, Kubernetes, HashiCorp Vault, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with banking systems.
• Aspiration to Enterprise Architect role (e.g., TOGAF certification).
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance.

Solution architecture & design:

• Design and review corporate solution architectures for business needs, including internally developed and integrated external solutions.
• Coordinate activities among analysts, developers, DevOps, security architects, infrastructure teams, users, and software vendors.
• Identify technological needs and participate in initiatives to enhance security, performance, reliability, and development processes.
• Develop standards and maintain documentation.

Leadership & communication:

• Act as an informal leader with strong soft skills, including negotiation, flexibility, and assertiveness.
• Serve as an intellectual and technical authority in at least one technical domain relevant to the bank.
• Adapt communication style to various stakeholders including analysts, designers, developers, end users, and management.
• Negotiate compromises and patiently explain technical consequences.

Only candidates with higher education in computer science (master's degree) and at least 2-3 years of tenure in one place are sought. The candidate must be embedded in corporate work realities and application development and integration contexts.
