Test Automation Engineer / QA Lead

AVENGA is recruiting for a pharmaceutical company seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to establish best QA automation practices and drive quality strategy across teams.

• At least 4 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer
• Additional experience as a Software Engineer is a plus
• Experience as a Test Lead is highly appreciated
• Broad QA Automation experience with leadership capabilities
• Strong experience with JavaScript QA Automation frameworks
• Strong experience with Playwright and Cypress
• Support with Python and Java testing is welcome
• Experience with Cloud solutions, preferably AWS
• Familiarity with modern AI-driven QA tools and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Define and drive test automation strategy, standards, and best practices across products
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web-based applications
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery practices
• Analyze test results, identify quality risks and root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions
• Mentor QA Engineers and promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within Agile teams
