Junior WordPress Developer

You'll be joining our Marketing team, which includes an experienced developer, a Scrum Master, SEO specialists, sales support, and designers who handle wireframes and mockups for the company website. The team operates smoothly with established processes and well-organized tasks, providing a stable environment for growth.

• Hands-on experience with WordPress custom themes.
• Solid understanding of PHP in a WordPress context.
• Practical knowledge of ACF and Gutenberg.
• Good command of HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to translate Adobe XD mockups into working code.
• Experience debugging technical issues.
• Comfort working with existing codebases and extending live projects.
• Familiarity with WordPress performance optimization (SEO and page speed).
• Commitment to writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a sense of ownership.

Nice to have:

• Experience with WPML.
• Basic knowledge of external API integrations.
• Familiarity with npm and GitLab basics.

• Developing and maintaining the company website built on WordPress with support from a senior developer.
• Working on a custom WordPress theme without using page builders like Elementor or Divi.
• Building and modifying pages and components based on Adobe XD mockups.
• Managing and extending existing ACF fields, field groups, and content structures.
• Handling Gutenberg blocks, modifying existing solutions, and building new ones.
• Ensuring the site is responsive across all screen sizes and resolutions.
• Working within an existing WPML multilingual setup.
• Debugging issues across WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, ACF, WPML, and frontend layers.
• Supporting integrations with external APIs.
• Improving existing code for quality, stability, and maintainability.
• Collaborating with the marketing team on day-to-day technical tasks.
• Optimizing the site for SEO and page speed based on SEO team input.
