Software Engineer III, YouTube Brand Connect Sponsorships

Google Ads is a division of Google that builds advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics. The team creates trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads, helping grow businesses of all sizes and enabling Google to engage with customers at scale.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with full-stack development, including back-end languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ and front-end technologies including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Preferred: Experience in Angular, React, or other web frameworks.
• Preferred: Interest or experience in Dart and Java/Kotlin.

• Work closely with PM and designers to prioritize and build UI workflows using AngularDart and Java/Kotlin services in Google Ads.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Ads backend teams to call their Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) from the frontend server.
