Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake Data Platform (Bronze/Silver/Gold)

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Deep practical expertise in Snowflake, including data modelling, SQL optimisation, and Streams/Tasks/Stored Procedures.
• Experience with Snowflake Secure Data Shares and building robust ingestion/processing patterns.
• Strong Python development skills for data processing utilities and operational tooling, including Streamlit applications.
• Experience implementing layered data warehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion or equivalent).
• Experience with ELT/ingestion tooling such as Fivetran or equivalent.
• Evidence of using AI-assisted development in delivery, including transformation generation, testing support, and documentation automation.
• Experience enabling downstream reporting with Power BI and/or Qlik, aligning data models to consumer needs.

Nice to have:

• SnowPro certification in Snowflake.
• Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management/golden record patterns.
• Exposure to fund administration, private capital, or broader financial services data environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application to financial services data.

• Build and maintain the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers within Snowflake for reporting, analytics, and data egress.
• Design and implement Snowflake data models aligned to the canonical domain model.
• Develop and operate Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures to orchestrate pipelines and support incremental processing.
• Own data quality by implementing validation, monitoring, and alerting for Gold-layer outputs.
• Work with Fivetran-synced source data and Snowflake Secure Data Shares to establish clean ingestion patterns at the Bronze/Silver boundary.
• Use AI-assisted development (LLMs and code generation) to accelerate SQL transformations, script scaffolding, test case creation, and documentation automation.
• Build Streamlit applications in Snowflake for internal operational tooling such as data review queues and reconciliation dashboards.
• Enable analytics and BI use cases by structuring Gold-layer outputs for Power BI, Qlik, and client-facing analytics, partnering with BI specialists to avoid duplication and technical debt.
