Mid-Level Mainframe Automation Engineer – IBM System Automation

Our client is a global leader in mainframe technology solutions, focusing on innovative monitoring and automation solutions on IBM System Automation platforms to maintain system availability, security, and recoverability across enterprise environments.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Mainframe systems, especially in automation areas.
• Hands-on knowledge of Mainframe automation products such as IBM System Automation, OPS/MVS, or NetView.
• Proficiency in scripting and coding using REXX.
• Understanding of ITIL-based process frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and provide production support for IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with OPS/MVS product.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Jira, and GitHub.

• Administer and support Mainframe System Automation tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Deliver automation solutions aligned with business needs, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with global IT teams to understand requirements and develop tailored automation rules and monitoring strategies.
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution within established deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive organizational automation goals.
• Support change, incident, and problem management processes related to Mainframe systems.
