Oracle Database Administrator – Linux & Enterprise Infrastructure

The role is for a Database Administrator working for a client that is a leader in digital business automation solutions. The position supports mission-critical Linux platforms and enterprise systems, focusing on reliable operation, optimal performance, and integration across complex infrastructure.

• 4+ years of experience as a DBA in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL databases.
• Proven experience supporting mission-critical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure.
• Experience with backup and recovery, replication/HA, performance tuning, and log analysis.

Nice to have:

• Shell scripting or automation skills.
• Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Connect:Direct, or BMC Control-M.
• Exposure to financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting batch/file transfer platforms.

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL databases in production.
• Manage patching, upgrades, backup, restore, and recovery validation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize database performance.
• Analyze incidents and support root cause analysis and resolution.
• Conduct log analysis at database and Linux levels.
• Collaborate with Linux administrators and application teams to troubleshoot system interactions.
• Execute weekend changes and perform database operations during maintenance windows.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for incident response.
• Provide input for risk assessments related to database changes.
