IT Application Support Engineer

AVENGA is an agency with KRAZ number 8448, offering IT application support services.

• Knowledge of Windows and Windows Server systems.
• Knowledge of database concepts, especially SQL Server backup and restore.
• Familiarity with Windows commands.
• Ability to write batch and/or PowerShell scripts.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
• Experience in application support and log reading.
• Experience with ITSM systems, ideally ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of Incident, Service Request, Problem Management, and Change Enablement processes.
• Ability to write and understand technical documentation.
• Accuracy in task execution.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• High-level English proficiency; German is a plus.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus.

• Support and maintain laboratory systems.
• Respond to and resolve incidents at the Windows operating system level.
• Respond to and resolve incidents at the application level of laboratory systems.
• Manage user roles and permissions (User Management).
• Manage access to network drives.
• Manage records and relationships in ITSM (ServiceNow).
• Conduct periodic checks of user correctness in the system.
• Perform periodic Backup & Restore tests for systems.
• Conduct periodic system log reviews (Audit Trail Review).
• Perform periodic data correctness checks in ITSM (ServiceNow).
• Maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Implement changes within Service Request Management and Change Enablement processes, including application upgrades, client installations, and migrations.
• Communicate with suppliers.
• Conduct periodic functional tests of the system.
