Technical Product Owner

IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated product ownership experience including roadmap, backlog, user stories, and agile team collaboration
• Working knowledge of authentication and identity concepts (OpenID Connect, OAuth, or SAML)
• Comfort working with data and success metrics to inform prioritization

Strongly Preferred:

• Prior product experience in identity, security, API, or developer-facing products
• Ability to conduct independent technology watch and form opinions on emerging standards (e.g., passkeys/WebAuthn)
• Exposure to product marketing or go-to-market work

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks affecting identity (e.g., GDPR, eIDAS)
• Experience communicating technical concepts to commercial and executive stakeholders

Essential Functions:

• Maintain the product vision and roadmap and support growth opportunities
• Support product strategy by staying updated on market trends and customer needs
• Monitor and adhere to success metrics, analyze data for insights, and coordinate with partner teams
• Translate product roadmap features into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize and break down high-level requirements into detailed user stories for development
• Act as product expert for users, providing creative solutions to real use cases
• Monitor and evaluate product progress and recommend improvements based on feedback
• Help mitigate impediments to ensure successful completion of release/sprint goals

Domain-Specific Responsibilities (Authentication & Identity):

• Conduct structured technology watch on authentication and identity standards (OpenID Connect, passkeys, verifiable credentials)
• Translate standards and ecosystem changes into product implications and communicate to engineering, security, and leadership
• Balance user experience, security posture, and compliance/regulatory constraints in authentication decisions
• Partner with marketing to articulate value and differentiation of identity features to technical and non-technical audiences
