Software Engineer lll, AI Developer Tools Platform

Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. The team works on research topics to maximize scientific and real-world impact and collaborates with product teams to bring innovations to customers.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Preferred: Experience in developing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Preferred: Experience with software architecture, system design, backend.

• Work closely with customers including Antigravity, Gemini Code Assist, Gemini CLI, Android Studio, and others to address their needs and requirements.
• Design and implement the AI Developer Tools Platform and related services under the Gemini Enterprise umbrella.
• Collaborate closely with other teams and functions across Cloud AI and beyond.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Apply innovative AI techniques to increase productivity.
