Platform Engineer

Pretius is developing a popular eCommerce platform and is seeking a Platform Engineer (Java) to join their team in Warsaw.

• Very good knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages
• Experience working with distributed systems and their architecture
• Practical experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and cloud computing solutions
• Experience with cloud services, specifically Azure
• Strong knowledge of platform engineering, Kubernetes, and GitOps (Istio, ArgoCD, Helm)
• Ability to use scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash
• English language proficiency at minimum B2+ level

• Creating and maintaining developer tools in the Java ecosystem (latest LTS version, currently Java 25)
• Providing support and optimization for Kubernetes workloads, including Istio and Argo
• Designing and implementing high-availability solutions in a multi-region architecture
• Working in an organized environment with key responsibility for delivering objectives
• Ensuring code quality and knowledge sharing
• Supporting product development teams at a senior/expert level by enabling optimal platform usage through tools, automation, and integrations
