Staff Cloud Security Engineer

Egnyte is a secure multi-cloud platform for content security and governance, established in 2008, serving over 22,000 organizations. The Cloud Security team manages the security of Egnyte's GCP-primary cloud infrastructure, focusing on guardrails, automation, IAM design, and detection.

• Demonstrated impact at senior or staff individual contributor level in cloud engineering with hands-on cloud security ownership, primarily GCP.
• Experience leading technical security reviews and shaping secure-by-design patterns adopted by engineering teams.
• Ability to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines using scripting and Policy as Code frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and containerized workloads, focusing on securing managed Kubernetes clusters and managing traffic via WAF, Load Balancing, and standard protocols.
• Hands-on experience with at least one CNAPP/CSPM platform (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma).
• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Experience in external knowledge sharing such as presenting at conferences or writing technical content.
• Industry-recognized certifications like GCP PCSE, CCSK, CCSP, CKA, CKS, GCPN, GCSA.

• Build automation to replace manual review work, including Policy-as-Code, auto-remediation, and CSPM policy authorship.
• Lead deep technical reviews on GCP/Azure architecture focusing on multi-tenant isolation, IAM, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Corporate Security, and Engineering teams to design and implement cloud security solutions.
• Own and manage security tools securing Egnyte’s multi-cloud environments.
• Mature cloud incident response including detection coverage, runbooks, and blast-radius limiting controls.
• Design scalable IAM patterns across GCP organizations, including service accounts and workload identity.
• Translate SOC 2 and FedRAMP control requirements into automated guardrails.
• Mentor and grow the Cloud Security team, shaping team processes and technical direction.
