Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android)

Ringier Axel Springer Tech is hiring a Senior Mobile Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SDKs for mobile advertising integration on iOS and Android platforms.

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in mobile application development for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and/or Kotlin, with good knowledge of Objective-C and Java.
• Experience creating and publishing SDKs or libraries for mobile platforms.
• Deep understanding of iOS SDK (UIKit, Foundation) and/or Android SDK.
• Practical knowledge of integration with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD tools for mobile.
• Ability to write unit and UI tests (XCTest, Espresso, JUnit).
• Knowledge of App Store and Google Play Store guidelines and review processes.
• Experience with debugging tools: Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler, Charles Proxy.
• Excellent code and API documentation skills.
• Understanding of modern software development methods using Agentic Coding (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating mobile advertising SDKs (Google Mobile Ads SDK, Facebook SDK, MoPub).
• Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks: React Native, Flutter, Unity, Xamarin.
• Knowledge of SKAdNetwork (iOS) and Google Play Install Referrer API.
• Experience with VAST/VPAID for mobile video ads.
• Knowledge of privacy-preserving advertising mechanisms (differential privacy, on-device processing).
• Experience with A/B testing and feature flags in SDK context.
• Publication of own apps or open-source libraries/SDKs.
• Knowledge of OpenRTB and header bidding protocols for mobile.

• Design and develop native SDKs for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Create wrappers and plugins for popular cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, Unity, and Ionic.
• Optimize SDKs for size, battery consumption, and performance.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and sample applications.
• Provide technical support to developers integrating the SDK.
• Implement tracking and analytics mechanisms with privacy preservation.
• Manage SDK versions and publish to repositories like CocoaPods, Maven Central, and npm.
• Collaborate with backend teams on API and communication protocols.
