Software Engineer II, Infrastructure

The Kueue team focuses on making Kubernetes the most powerful and efficient platform for AI/ML, maintaining the CNCF open-source project Kueue, a leading scheduler for AI workloads on Kubernetes. The team designs and builds scheduling solutions for managing accelerators like TPUs and GPUs, collaborating with internal Google AI services, external AI pioneers, and the open-source community. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions to customers worldwide to enable digital transformation.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience with software development in Go.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience with developing distributed systems at large scale.
• Experience with concurrent programming.
• Experience in contributing to open source projects.

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
