Software Lead Developer (Python, LangChain, Docker)

• Expertise in Python including advanced software design, async programming, and performance optimization.
• Experience with LangChain / LangGraph for building LLM-powered applications and vector integrations.
• Proficiency with Docker including containerization, multi-stage builds, and optimized production images.
• Knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication/authorization flows, OAuth2, OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with GitLab branching strategies, merging workflows, and pipelines.
• Experience with LangSmith for LLM monitoring, evaluation, and tracing.
• Skills in FastAPI for designing high-performance REST services and backend APIs.
• Proficiency in Pytest for unit/integration testing, fixtures, and mocks.
• Experience with Postgres including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
• Use of Azureite for Azure Storage emulation in local development.
• Knowledge of Poetry for dependency and environment management.
• Experience with Pydantic for data validation, settings management, and typed models.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing, metrics, and logging.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Neo4j graph databases and Cypher queries.
• Experience designing and automating CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams with clarity and empathy.
• Coach developers in coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Software Architecture & System Design:

• Design modular, testable, and scalable backend systems.
• Work with event-driven architecture, microservices, and API-first design.

Quality & Reliability:

• Advocate automated testing, observability, and CI/CD best practices.
• Promote a quality-first mindset in code reviews and team processes.
