C++ Developer (Mid)

The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is part of Ericsson's Engineering Services and Experience (ESE) within the Engineering Unit RAN Software & Compute Platforms (RCE). SIMS provides simulators for product development in the Business Area Networks, replacing real mobile phones and core networks in product verification. The team in Kraków will prepare for developing a powerful UE Simulator for 6G needs and later form the core team for the 6G UE simulator development.

• MSc or BSc degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or IT
• Knowledge in embedded programming, ideally in the telecom sector
• Strong software engineering skills with ability to write high-quality code in C++ and Python
• Knowledge of DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit)
• Proficiency in L2 Protocols: Medium Access Control (MAC), Logical Link Control (LLC), and Radio Link Control (RLC)
• Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in Telco environment
• Experience with L2 protocols

• Be part of an agile team contributing to Layer 2 development of a UE Simulator
• Work on analysis, system design, pre-development, and incremental implementation with short feedback loops
• Support Ericsson internal users with simulator products important for 6G
• Drive innovation and contribute to new insights becoming reality
