AI Architect – GenAI & Cloud (f/m/x)

Sii is hiring an AI Architect to work on bridging the gap between promising AI prototypes and production-ready systems. The role involves working with generative and classical AI pipelines, including knowledge-grounded AI systems, agent frameworks, and data infrastructure, alongside prediction, recommendation, and optimization models. The position reports directly to the Head of AI and includes both hands-on technical leadership and project scoping/estimating.

• At least 10 years in software/data/ML engineering with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML architecture at scale
• Deep production-level fluency in at least one major cloud AI ecosystem: Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience in client-facing roles leading technical workshops and presentations
• Ability to scope and budget AI projects including cloud cost modeling and delivery planning
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and practical experience with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent
• Practical experience building knowledge-grounded AI systems and agent architectures in production
• Solid understanding of transformer architectures and their system design impact
• Fluent in English and Polish (both written and spoken)
• Residing in Poland required

Nice to have:

• Experience fine-tuning LLMs (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA, RLHF/DPO) and understanding fine-tuning versus in-context learning
• Background in consulting, system integration, or services delivery with enterprise procurement exposure
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or published technical writing
• Experience with graph databases for knowledge graph-augmented search and reasoning
• Background in classical machine learning

• Lead client-facing engagements such as discovery sessions, technical workshops, and architecture presentations
• Translate business problems into well-defined AI solution specifications
• Analyze RFP/RFI documents and build technical proposals including architecture diagrams and delivery timelines
• Scope and estimate AI projects end-to-end, including data readiness, infrastructure, cloud costs, and operational expenses
• Design end-to-end architectures for generative and classical AI systems
• Make and defend technology choices including foundation models, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks
• Define MLOps/LLMOps practices and data pipelines including CI/CD for models and prompts, evaluation pipelines, and drift monitoring
• Lead technical design reviews, produce architecture decision records, and mentor engineers on AI engineering best practices
