Mid-Level Network Monitoring Engineer – Linux and Windows Infrastructure

You will be working for a leading institution in Tech Risk Management on a pioneering 6-month pilot project involving the installation and operation of Illumio, a network monitoring and microsegmentation tool in the company’s data center.

• Around 5 years of experience in infrastructure or systems administration, ideally in a security-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux server management (preferably RedHat).
• Proficiency with network protocols TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, and IP packet filtering (iptables, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience with Windows software installation.
• Scripting skills in Shell and PowerShell.
• Experience with REST API integration.
• Effective communication skills in English (fluent) and Polish (good command).

Nice to have:

• Basic scripting in Python or Java.
• Experience with security tools like CrowdStrike or other EDR solutions.
• Cisco networking certifications such as CCNA.
• Familiarity with AI-driven security tools and network microsegmentation.

• Install and operate the Illumio server on RedHat Linux within the data center.
• Deploy and test Illumio agents across approximately 100 Linux and Windows hosts.
• Monitor network connectivity and test product features such as traffic extraction and microsegmentation.
• Integrate Illumio with existing security solutions such as CrowdStrike and Windows EDR systems.
• Develop scripts using Shell and PowerShell for diagnostics and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment processes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues using protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, and ARP.
• Support Linux systems administration and maintain network filters and firewalls.
