Senior Java Microservices Engineer – Cloud & DevOps

Our client is a leading financial services organization focused on modernizing legacy systems and fostering an agile, cloud-enabled environment. The role is based in Krakow with a hybrid work model allowing up to 3 remote days per week.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing and supporting distributed Java systems.
• Strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of Java frameworks, DevOps tools, and cloud technologies (GCP, Jenkins, Ansible).
• Proven ability to work across regions while maintaining a global perspective.
• Excellent analytical skills with clear communication of technical issues.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Angular, Redis, REST APIs.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and vulnerability remediation tools.

• Actively participate in incident, problem, and service management activities to ensure seamless delivery.
• Evergreen legacy Java applications leveraging Github Co-Pilot, Claude Code, and other cutting-edge tools.
• Collaborate with product owners, IT specialists, and architects to analyze requirements and deliver service-oriented solutions.
• Design robust technical solutions using modern agile methodologies, emphasizing CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud technologies.
• Develop observability tools for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and capacity management.
• Support production systems to maintain high availability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development and operational processes.
