Junior C Developer (L1, 6G Simulator)

The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit within Ericsson, part of Engineering Services and Experience (ESE) and Engineering Unit RAN Software & Compute Platforms (RCE), provides simulators for product development in Business Area Networks. These simulators replace real mobile phones and core networks in product verification. The team in Kraków is working on preparing development of a powerful UE Simulator for 6G and will be the core for its actual development.

• MSc or BSc level (or in last semesters) in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent
• Entry-level knowledge about embedded programming, ideally within telecom
• Proven software engineering skills with ability to write high-quality code in C
• Knowledge in DPDK
• Understanding of multithreading and parallel processing
• Understanding of L1 Protocols
• Good speaking and writing skills in English

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of 5G technology

• Be part of an agile team contributing to Layer 1 development of a UE Simulator
• Support Ericsson internal users with an important product for 6G
• Drive innovation and turn new insights into reality
• Work with analysis, system design, pre-development, and incremental implementation
• Ensure short feedback loops in development process

Work model is hybrid with minimum 3 days from office in Kraków.
