Senior Java Software Engineer – Cloud and Microservices Expertise

Our client is a global financial services leader focused on transforming banking through cutting-edge IT solutions. The role is based in Krakow and offers a hybrid work model with up to 3 remote days per week.

• 5+ years of experience in developing and supporting distributed Java systems.
• Strong expertise in designing microservices with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Java frameworks, DevOps tools, and application lifecycle management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in REST APIs, Spring Cloud, GCP, and Redis.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of working across regions with a global perspective.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Angular, vulnerability remediation, or related cloud technologies.

• Actively participate in incident, problem, and service management activities to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Maintain and modernize legacy Java applications using tools such as Github Co-Pilot and Claude Code.
• Collaborate with business product owners, IT specialists, architects, and management to analyze and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop robust microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot within an Agile environment.
• Create observability solutions for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and capacity management to ensure high system reliability.
