Senior Engineering Manager - Shipping Services (m/f/n)

InPost Group is an innovative European out of home deliveries company operating a network of intelligent lockers across several countries. It is publicly traded with about $5 billion market capitalization and employs over 10,000 people worldwide. The company offers a large FMCG e-commerce platform in Poland with over 300,000 products and 1.5 million mobile app users. This role is within the Supply Chain Management domain, leading Shipping Services teams responsible for the end-to-end parcel shipment lifecycle and carrier integrations.

• 10+ years experience in Software Development / Engineering Leadership.
• Proven experience managing managers (manager-of-managers model) with at least 2 or more teams via Engineering Managers.
• Hands-on software engineer background earlier in career.
• Deep understanding of domain-level delivery, SDLC standards, and technical architecture principles.
• Hands-on technical background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid exposure to backend databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, also AWS or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, API-first).
• Experience with OKR/KPI frameworks and domain-level metrics.
• Demonstrated impact of AI adoption on engineering velocity and product quality.
• Proficiency in Agile, SAFe, or equivalent scaled delivery frameworks.

• Background in e-commerce or logistics.

• Experience with P&L ownership and budget management.
• Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and emerging technology trends.

• Manage delivery across multiple engineering teams or an entire domain, defining delivery standards and ensuring quality and velocity.
• Report to C-level stakeholders on progress, risks, and business impact, translating engineering outcomes into business language.
• Own domain-level SDLC governance, align standards, eliminate organizational blockers, and define domain OKRs, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Define architecture and technical standards, collaborating with Staff Software Engineers.
• Own platform and infrastructure strategy, reducing technical debt.
• Define domain's AI adoption strategy, represent the domain in AI Steering Committee, measure AI ROI, and shape the AI Playbook.
• Coach and develop Engineering Managers, build talent pipeline, design career paths and development programs.
• Build inclusive engineering culture and manage personnel situations in coordination with HR.
• Shape recruitment and process standards, attract talent, and manage organizational structure.
• Communicate strategy and progress to C-level, manage cross-domain dependencies, and represent InPost Tech externally.
• Build feedback and learning culture with surveys and retrospectives, translate feedback into action plans.
• Sponsor and lead cross-team/domain initiatives, participate or lead communities of practice.
• Shape innovation direction, manage portfolio of AI, new platforms, and experimentation initiatives, contribute to Group-level technology strategy.
