Data Engineer – AI-Accelerated Development (Snowflake, Airflow, Python)

• Strong SQL skills including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization
• Experience with Python for data engineering and automation
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse
• Experience building pipelines using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Experience operating production data systems focusing on reliability and maintainability
• Experience using Git and collaborative software engineering practices
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-changing environments
• Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders
• Experience using AI coding assistants and ability to critically review generated code

Nice to have:

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or Delta Lake
• Familiarity with DBT, Kafka, Kinesis, or other streaming technologies
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building AI or ML data pipelines

• Design, build, and operate scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using data from APIs, databases, event streams, and third-party systems
• Develop and maintain orchestration workflows in Apache Airflow with monitoring, observability, retries, and alerting
• Build and optimize data models in Snowflake and Databricks powering analytics, reporting, and AI applications
• Improve data quality through validation, testing, monitoring, and lineage
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
• Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, product teams, and software engineers
• Contribute to engineering standards including testing, Git workflows, CI/CD, documentation, and code reviews
• Leverage AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Cursor to accelerate development while maintaining quality
