Senior Python Engineer

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Python development (3.6 and above).
• Proficiency with Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience in design and build of enterprise systems with RESTful APIs, API design concepts, microservices architecture, messaging systems such as Kafka, observability tools like ELK and Splunk, and security principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git with advanced branching and merging concepts.
• Familiar with front-end technologies: Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment platforms like OpenShift Container Platform.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically GCP.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Hadoop.
• Experience with Spark.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation, including code reviews and ensuring robust technical standards.
• Manage and optimize containerized applications using OpenShift.
• Work with Oracle databases.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and build tools like Maven and Gradle.
• Build and deploy applications using standard build tools.
• Design and implement applications with a focus on observability (e.g., Splunk) and supportability.
• Present work effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
