MS SQL Server Team Lead

Verita HR is an international recruitment company supporting the fintech, finance, and banking markets in EMEA. The role is for a global financial technology leader, focusing on maintaining mission-critical data platforms in a hybrid cloud environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven leadership experience in database operations in a 24/7 environment
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Always On (2019–2025)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer in cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Snowflake and MongoDB in production or project settings
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proactive mindset and passion for building reliable, automated, modern data infrastructure

• Lead and inspire a Database Operations team responsible for 24/7 SQL Server environments
• Ensure stability, performance, and high availability of production and disaster recovery systems in a hybrid cloud setup
• Oversee weekend maintenance cycles including automated patching, releases, reindexing, and planned migrations
• Drive automation initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
• Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and coordinate fast resolutions
• Champion operational best practices, reliability standards, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to support projects involving Snowflake and MongoDB

Remote work is allowed only for candidates based in Poland. Contract type is employment contract. Recruitment includes phone screen and 3 online meetings with the client.
