Senior Product Data Scientist Manager, Android

Android and Business Communication (ABC) is at the core of how people and businesses connect globally, with products like Google Messages and Dialer aimed at providing secure, expressive communication experiences. The Platforms and Devices team focuses on developing new technologies combining Google AI, software, and hardware to enhance user interaction across platforms including desktop, mobile, and applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 13 years of experience using analytics for product or business problems, statistical analysis, and coding with Python, R, SQL or 10 years with a Master's degree.
• 5 years of technical people management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in related quantitative field.
• 15 years of relevant analytic and coding experience with Python, R, SQL.
• 6 years of technical leadership as a people manager.

• Perform analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and Python.
• Lead projects involving problem definition, metrics development, data extraction, visualization, analytics/statistical models, and stakeholder presentations.
• Address ambiguous or novel problems leveraging existing system capabilities and collaborate to define team work.
• Manage integration of cross-functional and cross-organizational project timelines, drive process improvements, and set operational goals.
• Lead and provide technical oversight for ranking, personalization, and classification strategies to scale business globally.
